Dr Shalabh Sharma
Dr Shalabh Sharma is a Senior ENT Consultant and Cochlear Implant Surgeon at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, a leading 700 bedded Tertiary Referral Hospital in New Delhi. He is also a Visiting Consultant at the Royal Bahrain Hospital (Bahrain).
He received his MS (ENT) from KMC Manipal in 1994 and the DNB (ENT) in 1995. He was awarded the DLORCS (England) in 1996 and FRCS (Ireland ) in 1997.
His interests are Minimally Invasive Sinus Surgery, Cochlear Implant Surgery, and Middle Ear Ossicular Reconstruction. Prof. (Dr) J. M. Hans is a Gold Medallist (MS ENT) from the prestigious institute, PGI Chandigarh with 36 years of experience. He pioneered the Veria technique in Cochlear implant surgery 15 years ago in India and has successfully operated on more than 3000 cochlear implants. He is the first ENT surgeon in India to have started the auditory brain stem implant in children. He has mentored many ENT surgeons all over India and the SAARC countries. He was the Professor and Head of the department of ENT at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi. He is a Fellow of the House Ear Institute (USA) and Bionic Ear Institute (Australia).
Prof. (Dr). J. M. Hans has held the prestigious post of the ENT surgeon to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. He was awarded the Padmashri by the Ex-Hon’ble President of India, Shri APJ Abdul Kalam in the year 2005.
